waltham abbey town show

As has become the tradition, we staged a small display at the Waltham Abbey Town Show held on Saturday 27th & Sunday 28th June 2009 to promote our club near to our home venue and provide the public with the opportunity to learn about Dutch rabbits and 'cuddle a bunny'.

Due to forecasted bad weather conditions on the first day of the show and a clash with the UKDRC YSS we were only able to attend on the Sunday and with a much smaller display than usual, however our stand was still as popular as ever!

This year in addition to our Dutch rabbit cuddles we ran two competitions. The first was Pin the Tail on the Dutch Bunny with a Supreme Petfoods prize to anyone managing to get the tail within the circled area. The second was Name the Baby Bunny (the winning name 'Kevin' was drawn at random) with a Supreme Petfoods prize bundle for the winner.

To help attract new members to the club and to offer quality pet rabbits to the public we also had a few sale pens at this show. One baby rabbit was sold this year gaining the club one new member for 2009, we hope they enjoy their time with our club and re-new their membership for many more years to come.

We would like to say thank you to all the visitors to our stand this year who helped us raise a total of £17.80 for club funds.

We are aiming to attend the show again next year on Saturday 26th & Sunday 27th June so please put the date in your diary and come along to see us and all the other amazing attractions - entry to the show is FREE.
